A People of God Unleashed to Manifest His Glory - Apostle Emmanuel Quaye

Updated: Aug 8

Theme Scripture: Colossians 1:26-28

Apostle Emmanuel Quaye, our National Head, led us in a blessed half-night prayer session. Under the theme, "A People of God Manifesting His Glory," we were inspired and blessed.

Apostle Quaye explained, according to our anchor scripture, that there are mysteries revealed to the people of God that other people are not privy to. He explained further to the congregation that often, wealth remains untapped and hidden, and if our spiritual eyes remain closed, so do the riches that are in us.

He recalled visiting Norway, where natural oil reserves were untapped for many years. It wasn't until they realized their wealth that, today, they have been able to enter into a season of unprecedented prosperity. Now the country is a significant testament to manifest potential and is thriving and debt-free. In the same way, may God have mercy on us and open our eyes to the richness within us, just as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:18: "that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

Christ in Us: The Hope of Glory

He also reminded those gathered of Colossians 1:27 which says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” When we accept Christ, the glory of God is present with us, and we are able to have purpose in the midst of our suffering and a clear identity in Christ. Where there is shame, God's glory gives honor. May the presence of God reside in us and may we access the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to manifest the glory of God in every area of our lives.

Maintaining our Identity as Witnesses for Christ

And finally, in Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses," we are reminded of the Holy Spirit being our witness. We testify about God, not just with our mouths, but instead with our lives and we have to be willing to go through the process to be used in this capacity.

Witnesses of Christ

The verse of Acts 1:8 reminds us of the power we receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, which also means we will be witnesses of Him. We testify God's work, not just by words but by our entire lives. Whether it is through a healing, singing, or everyday actions, we demonstrate God's power and grace.

Impact of Manifesting God's Glory

  1. Transformation in Lives – The transformation when God's glory is displayed, ignorance turns into knowledge. The world is looking forward for God's people to manifest. Romans 8:19 tells us it earnestly waits.

  2. Strengthening the Church and Community – By us embracing our divine identity, the church is fortified and communities are lifted.

  3. Influence in Society – How Jesus' miracle of turning water into wine in John 2:11 brought renown to Nazareth, our lives can change and cause recognition for God's power.

Practical Applications

  • Believe in the Transforming Power of Christ – John 2:11 shows that even His disciples believed in the transformative power of His words.

  • Embracing Liberation – Acts 3:1-8 demonstrates the miraculous event of the healing of the lame man, representing the freedom and transformation we carry in Christ.

A Call to Dependence on God

In the last days, we were told to be cautious of deception (2 Timothy 3:13). Sometimes, God allows a situation in your life to get quite challenging so we can depend on Him more and our gifts can be exercised. Just as some of the wealthiest nations become innovative because of adversity, we should also seek divine solutions and manifest the mystery that's been manifested in us.

Lastly, as Apostle Quaye ended by highlighting our these again "There is a mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints." Let us embrace this revelation for the manifestation in every aspect of our lives, as singers, dancers, businessmen all to the glory of God. Amen
